Online-based Pirated Disc Syndicate In A Raid

The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry crippled yet another online-based pirated disc syndicate in a raid at an apartment in Lorong Rambutan 3, Air Itam, in Penang last Tuesday. In the 9pm raid, jointly conducted with the Motion Picture Association (MPA), the officers seized undisclosed amount of pirated DVDs, a notebook with a broadband connection, a modem, several documents (some of which believed to be orders from customers), a weighing scale and a portable IBM Travelstar hard drive.
