criedbaby mendapat review yang baik dari mamat oversea.. yeah!! alhamdullillah muzik kami dapat diterima kat sane.. kat mesia nih still sayup2 lagi.. hehe!! nih aku forward kan beberapa review diorang pasal lagu mystic…

Classic prog rock.
Technical and tight. Heavy old school mixed with modern prog.

Its a great heavy sound, but has no vocals to carry it.

Good performance
The performances on this song are great. The guitar, bass and drums all have interesting parts that move well. And the band is very tight. The song is well put together, nice breaks and stops to keep the song spiced up and interesting throughout. The only thing I would haved liked to heard is a nice guitar solo. Basically the guitar just riffs through the whole thing, and they are very good riffs, but about the time the song ended at 2 and a half minutes, I was expecting the guitarist to break into a big wailing guitar solo. That would have been nice to hear.

The production was pretty good. A couple of things I could recommend, is that the bass was hard to hear under the guitar. The bass needs to be higher in the mix and have a punchier sound. The drums came through pretty good. The kick sounded real good, which is often a problem in these kind of songs, but not here. However, I thought the drums were a little dry. Especially the snare. The snare needs to ring out and cut through the mix more than it does.

Otherwise, a pretty well done instrumental.

Now THIS hits me!
Excellent guitar work, great drumming, and a good arrangement. I'm not sure this belongs in the “progressive rock” genre (as I'd consider King Crimson prog rock, and this is more like heavy metal) but it's still technically great music. It could do with a vocalist, though. Guitar rock is fine to listen to for a while, but it's not exactly the kind of music I'd play in the background. Throw a screaming vocalist on this, however, and you'd have a serious metal hit. This song's just begging for the right singer to come along and give it the punch it needs to go over the top. As it is now, sans vocals, it's a good piece for a soundtrack, or anthem. Well-played by all accounts.
