The Doctor is in the house. He may be Strange, but he'll show you Love. Ok, Dr Strange is not like that. He is a very powerful magician. One of the most powerful in the Marvel Comics universe. I never really read much Dr Strange stories. I only saw him appear in some Avengers stories and X-Men stories. This is a commissioned artwork for a client in the USA. A5 sized artblock paper. Pencils, pen, sharpie, Pentel watercolor, pigment ink. I always give my best in my artwork. Even if it's a small piece, I would still put in my all for it. Because I want the person who has my artwork to be very pleased and happy with it.
Is he a handsome Doctor or what? I bet the girls swoon over him. And he knows magic tricks!
Falling In Love
Falling In Love is without knowing
Knowing to love is a blessing
I wish to have the courage to love
No matter how many times it fails
I pray to God to show me love
which will last for real

I fixed the man's legs as they looked as if he was not sitting down. Changed his denim jeans to lighter color slacks instead in the process. And changed the pendant as per author's request.
Why do you fail? Because you kept pushing forward, you kept making efforts. You did something. It's better than not doing anything. Tim Harford said that the more you fail, the more likely you are to succeed. He also showed in his book “Adapt” that the key to success is constant experimentation. We have to try new things with the knowledge that some will surely fail. And then we learn from there. We either make corrections/improvements or realize that it's a dead end and start something new but with better approaches and modifications based on our last failure. Tim Harford wrote the million-selling 'The Undercover Economist' and has won awards both for his Financial Times columns and BBC Radio show 'More or Less'. Tim's portrait was made by tracing his photo digitally and painting with photoshop. Reference photo was from http://www.littlebrown.co.uk/.
Pebbles, cheese balls & cranberries makes wonders
Lots of pebbles in the stars flying cheese balls you get in mars icy juicy
cranberries melted over your head to make abosolute wonders for your days ahead!

Artists always try to express themselves. If they can play and write music, they'll write a song. For me, I draw and paint. So, this was my way of expressing myself and also to practice. The word is “Zhan” 戰 in Chinese. It means “war” or “battle.” Many of our lives are never ending battles. You just have to keep fighting. Fight the good fight. Fight for what you believe in. Elizabeth Braddock of the X-Men, she keeps fighting. Although sometimes she grew weary. Having forced to face the death of her brother, and then lose the man she loved, as well as almost sacrificing her own life to save a French man she doesn't love but loves her. Complicated. But, as a warrior in X-Force, she knows only one way. Zhan. (X-Force Psylocke pencils on artblock and edited with Photoshop. The face went through many revisions, as I just wasn't satisfied with how she looked.)
Thanks,AmyKamen. ^^ I will keep practising.
Rocky: My ol' man, he was never too smart. He says to me, 'You weren't born with much of a brain, ya know, so uh, ya better start using your body, right?' So I become a fighter. Ya know what I mean. [Adrian chuckles softly] Why are ya laughing?
Adrian: My mother, she said the opposite thing.
Rocky: What did she say? What did she say the opposite?
Adrian: She said, 'You weren't born with much of a body, so ya better develop your brain.'
Selina Kyle work in progress. Face touched up. Smoothed, and added more tones to bring out facial features. Started work on leather outfit.Still working on her, but time for a short break. By the way, this is not the Anne Hathaway Selina Kyle. It was based on Adam Hughe's Catwoman and also inspired by the most beautiful and graceful classic actress Audrey Hepburn.
Yea,I can see the Hughes inspiration.
Good job on the costume, but maybe you should push the contrast more and use less mid values in my opinion to get that sleek latex feel.Check Serge Birault. But the Catwoman is looking fine.Oh,and I can't imagine Audrey doing Catwoman. She's more classy than sexy.Maybe classy + sexy ? :p
semakin hebat ♥
Ah….hkm….you are an artist too. ^^ I like your paintings on deviantart. Thank you for your suggestion. I shall try to push the contrast up more. Generally, I somehow shy away from very strong contrasts in my artwork. When I do my linework with pencils, illustrating comic pin ups, I tend not to have too much large shadows areas or dark areas.
Serge Birault…..yes, I have noticed his artwork on the internet before. 1 of his pin up girls look very much like famed Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, Irina Shayk.
It was said that Hughes modeled his catwoman illustrations based on Audrey's likeness. Yes, she was classy and sexy. You like classic actresses too?
Thank you, Mysticmind. Saya selalu berlatih apabila ada masa.
Social Climber. Almost done with her, just a bit more painting to go. For now, enjoy the teaser. Selina Kyle's portrait has gone through many revisions.
cat woman ker tu, pakai google erk?
Yes, it's Catwoman. The text was not translated from English into Japanese by using Google. They were text featured on Catwoman related products(toys, comics, etc) on a Japanese online retail website in Japanese language.
Beautiful girl I saw in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. Tall, Dark hair, brown skin, brown eyes, single eye lids, beautiful smile. Pencils, photoshop coloring.
macammana you inking… manual ker? macammana inking yang terbaik… can mu share
Hi, kometstarlucky. I usually draw in pencil on paper, scan into computer, and then ink with photoshop by using a Wacom Bamboo tablet.
There are many ways to ink drawings. Some people ink them with pens and inks. All kinds, pigment pens, pens with special nibs and refillable ink cartridges, some use gel pens etc etc. Whatever it is, after inking, professional artist would still scan it, and then they have to edit it via photoshop. Adjust the whiteness, the darkness, and the greyness. Clean up the scanned artwork manually. Erase unwanted dots, smudges and so on and so forth. Quite a lot of work. Of course, this is just one way to complete the inked artwork.
You may also buy some books on how to draw comic art and inking techniques. Like “How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way,” and many other books available at Kinokuniya(top floor where they have all the art books and cafe).
Also, if you are really interested, go to ImagineFX.com, read up the tutorials(you may have to search a bit) that are related, or better, buy the magazine and learn from their tutorials. Many magazines that you can learn from such as Digital Artists, ImagineFX, Computer Arts UK, Advanced Photoshop etc etc.
One other book I would recommend is this:
It teaches you how to do comics completely digitally. No paper used. Drawing and then inking and coloring, everything through the computer. Layouts, panelling, special effects, perspectives, how to draw realistic cityscapes and buildings…etc. It is said that famous comic artist Bryan Bolland doesn't even draw comics traditionally with pencil and pens anymore but has gone entirely digital too.
Listening to anime theme songs and J-Pop gave me the driving force to paint an anime style Supergirl. Pencils and Photoshop. Takes quite some time, a lot more cleaning up to do on this tomorrow. Going to add a blue sky with white clouds background, add some flying seagulls and of course Supergirl's cute flying cat; Streaky.
tq; so interesting…. dah berapa lama study buat nih? sory banyak tanya..like your artwork :pompom:
Thank you. Actually, if you mean how long have I been drawing, I have been drawing since primary school. This is not my main profession. I'm actually a business marketer and studied a business degree. But my skills as an artist only improved a lot more after I attended professional classes in 2011 and after getting a proper digital painting tablet. Before that I was using Taiwanese brand tablets, cheap and almost no pressure sensitivity, so I couldn't blend the colors at all. I got my certificates in graphic design and web design in 2012. It's very helpful to have a good teacher to guide you and teach you the tricks and secrets. You can learn so much faster with a teacher than self learning.
I tried to scan and then trace with illustrator but i find the line not very fine… i dont know the realy step.. so sad
selina kyle face mmg chun jason. u improve a lot!!!
Thanks, amykamen555. I asked Selina Kyle to wait, because I'm rushing Mirai Suenaga. ^^ Work in progress. These days I'm using anime/manga style. Mirai Suenaga (c) Danny Choo. Mascot of Culture Japan. Culture Japan is a TV show that introduces Japan culture to the world. Created and hosted by Danny Choo.
It's finished. There's no more time. It's late, I gotta go to the shop to print it. Tomorrow's Sunday, nobody's working. And I'm really done with it….if I don't stop, I'll probably keep painting until I turn into a zombie. (Pencils, Photoshop CS5.5). Mirai Suenaga created by Danny Choo. Background based on original work by Iizuki Tasuku.
Finally! The sexiest BlackCat painting is finished! From the tag-team sensation of Jovenal Mendoza(pencil), & Os Kuek(digital colors), that's gonna rumble more your way! Special thanks to Jake Mackessy. 11×17 prints will be available at ECC and Portland(USA) Comic Con from Mercenary Art Studio. http://www.mercenaryartstudio.com/
Almost finished.I love painting the eyes of a beautiful woman. Finally, redid the eyes and eye lashes. Adjusted goggles and headpiece of costume's lighting. Now, onto the lips. It should be finished soon.
